Issaquah Plaza 221 (Core Design)

The project included construction of a stand-alone Taco Time with drive thru, a 22,000sf office/commercial/retail building, dedicated and shared parking facilities, pedestrian trail network within NGPA, wetland and floodplain mitigation  and essential roadway improvements and utilities.  The Taco Time was the rollout of the first prototype restaurant for future restaurants.  Dean utilized a chambered stormwater detention facility that maximized detention, while constrained by the a high ground water table.  Dean provided consulting services for the site development including erosion and sediment control, demolition, earthwork, grading, storm water management, pedestrian and vehicular circulation, and sanitary sewer and water system improvements.  Additionally, during the Level 1 Downstream Analysis, Dean identified the city was illegally discharging stormwater onto an adjacent private property.  Through coordination with the city and ownership, an agreement was made for the redesign and construction of the city stormwater system through the ownerships property.  The project was constructed in 2014.
